The 21- Series is a Standard Grade PTFE (Teflon®) coated fiberglass tape with SILICONE pressure sensitive adhesive on one side, available with or without liner. This tape is an excellent product for the various industrial applications requiring release properties and extreme temperatures (up to 500ºF), chemical or environmental resistance.
Performance & Application:
Our Standard Grade PTFE (Teflon®) tapes demonstrate superior dielectric strength and resistance to wear, tear, cut through, breaking and flow under heat and pressure. PTFE (Teflon®) is non-tracking in an electric discharge and will not support combustion. Dielectric strength changes little over a wide range of frequencies and relative humilities. PTFE resin is one of the most chemically inert materials available and has a low coefficient of friction. Few substances will stick to its surface. These tapes are used in heating sealing and element covers, lamination release covers, backing release surfaces for impulse wire sealing, L-Bar sealing, shrink wrapping, blister packing, plastic bag manufacturing, dry can roll covers, chute-bed-bin-oven liners, commutator covers, spacers, slot liners, splicing, field and armature winding, cable and conductor wrapping, tool & mold release, flash breaker tape, harness wrap.

Ultra Premium Grade PTFE Coated Fiberglass has a High Temperature Silicone Adhesive -100F to +500F. Designed for demanding applications. Chemical, Heat, Moisture & Tear resistant. Meets FDA 21CFR177.1550

Skived PTFE Tape is made with Teflon™ fluoroplastic and a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive on one side. Skived PTFE tape is highly conformable with 300% elongation. CS Hyde’s PTFE tape features superior insulating strength, is non-stick, flexible, high temperature, as well as chemical, heat & moisture resistantance. Other properties include no porosity, excellent release, and of course it has a super-low coefficient of friction. Also used as an insulating and masking tape. Our PTFE tape is available in 5 or 36 yard rolls.

Used primarily in the packing industry as a release surface on heat sealers, blister formation and form-fill equipment where heavy production demands a product with more release surface material. The durability and anti-stick properties of the TFL-__T also make it an ideal material for lining of guide rails, chutes and slides. The high temperature capabilities and non-stick properties allow it to perform as an excellent release surface in severe industrial environments, platen covers, dry can covers and the composite aircraft industry.

Rulon® Tape is manufactured from skived compounded PTFE Rulon® film material. The RU-Series is often referred to as bearing tape and offers outstanding abrasion and temperature resistance, as well as enhanced wear resistance in a PTFE-based material.
Both Rulon® tapes have an 8.0 mil. substrate thickness and 2.0 mil. of pressure sensitive adhesive for the silicone system and 2.3 mil. of pressure sensitive adhesive for the acrylic system.
