  • Kapton-hn

    DuPont™ Kapton® Type HN Film- 12"x12" Sheets

Kapton® Type HN is a tough, aromatic polyimide film, exhibiting an excellent balance of physical, chemical, and electrical properties over a wide temperature range.  Kapton® has been successfully used in applications at temperatures as low as -452°F (-269°C) and as high as 752°F (400°C).

Chemically, its polyimide polymer makeup is the result of a polycondensation reaction between pyromellitic dianhydride and 4,4.diaminodiphenyl ether.  Kapton does not melt or burn and has excellent chemical resistance; there are no know organic solvents for the film.

    Applications include:

Mechanical parts, electronic parts, electrical insulation, fiber optics cable, insulation blankets and tubing, automotive diaphragm sensors and manifolds, etching and shim stock.

Kapton® HN film meets ASTM D-5213 (type 1, item A) requirements.  Meets UL-94 Flammability rating: V-0.

  • Kapton® Tape- 18-5s-12x12

    Product Description:

This tape consisting of a Kapton film coated with a high temperature silicone adhesive. The Kapton film provides excellent electrical insulation, abrasion resistance, and high dielectric strength.  This is an UL recognized component.

    Performance & Application Information:

The primary uses for this product include capacitor wrapping, gold finger masking, coil insulation and high temperature harness wrapping.

  • Ultem® PEI Film

PEI ULTEM® (Polyetherimide Resin) Film- 12"x12" Sheets

    Ultem®/PEI (polyetherimide)
film offers high heat resistance, coupled with high mechanical strength, stiffness, UV stability, and broad chemical resistance. This combination of properties proves the ability of this film to be used for a wide variety of demanding new design concepts. Similar to PEEK, Ultem® can be considered a more cost effective solution if continuous temperatures below 338F are acceptable per the application. It has a UL94 flame resistance rating of VTM-0, is FDA compliant,
and is thermoformable. Custom sized sheeting available.

  • Solid Silicone Sheets

Solid Silicone Rubber Sheets: 12" x 12" squares.

Commercial Grade: designed to be used in applications where physical properties are not critical but extreme temperature is still needed. (-80°F to 450°F)

Translucent Grade: Odorless, tasteless, chemically inert and non-toxic.  It offers all FDA approved ingredients, low compression set and fungus resistance. Translucent Grade solid silicone sheeting meets 21 CFR 177.2600 for repeated use in contact with food.  Color is translucent.

  • Adhesive backed silicone sheets

Solid Silicone Rubber Sheets: 12" x 12" Pre cut adhesive backed squares.

Silicone foam is a light density, flexible material with a smooth skin on both sides.  Silicone foam is flame-retardant and meets UL 94 VO rating.  This material can withstand a 2100°F flame for more than 10 minutes without burning through in thicknesses down to 3/8".   Silicone foam is self-extinguishing and generates very little white smoke.  Nominal density is 12 lbs./cu. ft.  Silicone foam is non-crrosive for use with metals and in hostile environment and maintains compression set.  Color is white

Applications: Outstanding performance in the aviation, mass transit, automotive industries, electronics, construction, furniture, fireblocks, thermal barriers, noise and vibration dampeners, insulation and high-performance gaskets or seals.
