Teflon™ PTFE coated fiberglass tapes are made up of fiberglass fabric tighly woven from fiberglass fibers, then coated with Teflon™ PTFE. Fiberglass fabric provides superior dimensional stability while PTFE coating provides a slippery, anti-friction release surface. PTFE Coated fiberglass tape are an excellent product for various packaging applications requiring release properties, extreme temperatures (up to 500ºF), chemical, and environmental resistance. PTFE coated fiberglass can be used to cover heat sealing jaws and elements on various types of equipment such as shrink wrap/L bar, blister packaging, and form/fill/seal machines. Available in standard or premium grade fiberglass, with silicone or acrylic adhesive, with or without peel-off liner. For applications not requiring adhesive backing we also supply Teflon™ PTFE coated fiberglass fabric by the lineal yard. Thicknesses ranging from .003” to .019”. Standard Grade VS. Ultra Premium Grade Coated Fiberglass Tapes
The main difference between standard grade and premium grade coated fiberglass tapes is the grade of the fiberglass fibers and the amount of PTFE Coating. Our ultra-premium grade (10-SX and 10-AX Series) are composed of higher-grade fiberglass fibers and an extra coating of Teflon™ PTFE.
