This nylon film is a high viscosity polyamide (PA)66 thermoplastic resin commonly used for molding and extrusion applications such as film and tubing. High strength and very inert; Nylon 6/6 maintains it's properties over a large temperature range.
Nylon 6/6 is non abrasive to other materials, has high impact resistance, is easy to fabricate and doesn't require lubrication. In addition, Nylon 6/6 is FDA approved for food contact, resists most organic chemicals and alkalies, and is conformable.
Because of its wishlist of high strength, low wear properties, Nylon 6/6 can be used as guides, rollers, cams/cam followers, insulation, liners, fasteners, sleeves, bushings, bearings, and wear surfaces. Custom sized sheeting available.
