PTFE Beading (aka Miniature Cord) is available in diameters from .028" up to .150". Coils are 100 Ft. Larger diameters are 25 Ft coils. Maximum Length PTFE Bead is 1000Ft continuous.
PTFE Cord is good choice for electrical applications, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) does not conduct electricity and offers good chemical resistance at high temperatures. Meets UL 94V0 for flammability. PTFE Beading has low friction, anti-stick characteristics and is an excellent electrical insulator. Withstands extreme temperatures from -300F to +500F. PTFE Bead can be used indoors or outdoors. Color is opaque White. *Standard Lead Time: 2-3 Business Days
/Asset/ptfebeading.jpgPTFE Pipe Thread Sealant Tape is used on all types of threaded fittings for passage of water potable and non-potable, most chemicals, oxygen, gas, hydraulic and high-pressure lines. PTFE Pipe Thread Tape withstands harsh temperatures (from -450F to +550F). Strong Chemical resistance. Stretches 50% without breaking.
Meets MIL-spec T-27730A. Color is white. Rolls are 520" long.
/Asset/PTFE Thread Seal Tape.jpgKevlar® threads are produced from Kevlar® a manufactured fiber in which the forming substance is a long chain synthetic polyamide contaning at least 85% of the amide linkages attached directly to two aromatic rings. This para-aramid thread is one of the strongest and most fire retardent industrial threads with a break strength 5 times greater than steel wire and 2.5 times stronger than nylon or polyester threads. Other unique properties include excellent flame resistance, abrasion resistance, and thermal stability. Kevlar® Thread meets MIL-T-87128.
Common applications: heavy duty clothing sewing, conveyor belt manufacturing, race car apparel, plastic or fiber reinforcement
Decomposition: Begins to decompose at about 800°F in air by oxidation.
Melting Point: Does not melt
Solubility in Water: Insoluble to water.
Odor: Oderless.
Color: Natural Color Only-Yellow
Effects of Acids & Alkalis: Good resistance to dilute acids and bases. Degrades by strong mineral acids, to a lesser extent by mineral bases.
Effects of Bleach & Solvents: Kevlar® threads should not be bleached. Execllent solvent resistance.
Effects of Mildew, UV, & Abrasion: Excellent resistance to Mildew with minimal breakdown. Prolonged UV exposure causes deterioration. Good abrasion resistance.
