  • PEEK Tape with Adhesive

PEEK Tape with silicone or acrylic adhesive

PEEK Tape is composed of two high performance materials: high temperature, chemical resistant, abrasion and wear resistant PEEK™ Film (002" to .010" thick) and 3M™ specialty adhesives (nominal adhesive thickness of .0015 to .002") in silicone adhesive (rated up to 500°F), acrylic adhesive (High tack-High Bond) or 5 mil. conductive filled acrylic adhesive (ideal for EMI/RFI shielding applications). Utilizing our in-house lamination services, we can produce PEEK Tape with a specialty adhesive fastening system to meet the requirements of your application and utilize PEEK polymer performance properties.

When compared to Teflon™ PTFE tapes, PEEK tape exhibits a much higher tensile strength (18.9 kpsi / 130 MPa), making it a tougher, stronger material with better wear performance, and a lower density. When compared to Kapton® Polyimide tape, PEEK tape has lower moisture absorption (.04%/24 hr.), a higher tear strength (35g/mil.), making it a better performance option for barrier protection applications in hot/humid environments. The acrylic adhesive (37-A Series) laminated to PEEK™ film also distributes humidity, UV, and water resistance if applied correctly.

PEEK film can meet a variety of aerospace, automotive, food/water (FDA 21 CFR 177.2415), medical/pharmaceutical, and military/nuclear approvals, and standards.

  • Mylar® Tape- CS Hyde Company

Mylar® film tape is constructed from DuPont Mylar® Type A polyester film laminated with an acrylic 300LSE high temperature 3M® adhesive. This polyester tape obtains Mylar® film performance properties including: balanced tensile properties, excellent resistance to moisture and most chemicals, as well as its temperature resistance rated (-100°F to 300ºF). Mylar tape with pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive is recommended for applications that require high initial tack and strong hold adhesion to low surface energy substrates like oily metals or some plastics. Mylar® tape with silicone adhesive can also be produced for applications that require a higher adhesive temperature range and clean release removal.  Mylar® film with adhesive creates opportunities to incorporate Mylar® thermoplastic properties into new product developments and or improve existing applications. Utilizing a pressure sensitive adhesive system limits the need for mechanical fastening, enabling Mylar® tape to be used in tight enclosure spaces or placement over hard to drill substrates.

CS Hyde can produce Mylar® Tape in a thickness range from .002” to .014.  Utilizing on site converting capabilities we can produce slit to width rolls, sheets, or custom die cut parts. CS Hyde is also an authorized 3M® converter enabling us to acquire and laminate other specialty adhesives for property specific applications. Mylar® adhesive lamination can be produced on one or both sides of the film.

  • PVDFStick PVDF Tape with Adhesive

Exclusively from CS Hyde comes PVDFstick®, PVDF film laminated with a strong acrylic adhesive for ease of application, positioning, and fastening. PVDFStick® offers excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, and features a high tensile strength (7,550psi@yield). It also has good thermal stability and can be used in sustained applications up to 300°F.

PVDF is extremely pure, which makes it a good candidate for food applications. When specified, PVDF resin complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR 177.510, USDA, 3A sanitary standards and meets ASTM D3222 resin specifications. PVDF can be used as a substitute for Tedlar®, ask for info.

Another feature of PVDFStick® Tape is its high impact resistance and durability. Compared to many thermoplastics, PVDF has excellent resistance to creep and fatigue, yet in thin sections such as films, PVDF components are flexible and transparent.

PVDF film is stable to UV light and the effects of weather. In cold, heat, sunlight and humidity PVDF Film does not wear out or get brittle. PVDF has low NBS smoke generation and superior LOI.

  • Polycarbonate Film- Clear & Velvet Matte.jpg

CS Hyde Company now offers two types of high-performance polycarbonate adhesive tapes with 3M pressure sensitive adhesive: type GG (gloss/gloss surface) and type VM (Velvet/Matte surface). Our polycarbonate tapes are composed of clear or translucent polycarbonate films, laminated in house with 3M™ high tack adhesive. • Delrin Film Tape-with adhesive.jpg

With the ease of positioning and fastening in mind, CS Hyde Company laminates adhesive to Delrin® sheet.

Delrin® materials are based on formaldehyde polymerization, are highly crystalline, strong, rigid, and possess good moisture, temperature, and solvent resistance. Because Delrin® absorbs far less moisture than type 6 and type 6/6 nylons, it is widely used for many mechanical and industrial applications requiring closer tolerances and greater dimensional stability.

Delrin® Sheet has a 3M acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive with a Peel-Off Liner. For more specific adhesive properties, please request the adhesive data sheet.

  • K5-05 Para-aramid PTFE Tape

Product K5-05 is manufactured from extra strength para-aramid fiber cloth impregnated with a dispersion of anti-static PTFE. This tape has a high temperature, Pressure Sensitive Silicone Adhesive. This anti-static ptfe tape is black in color and provides protection from UV damage.

  • Fat PTFE

"FAT" PTFE made with Teflon™ fluoroplastic Tape is a thick gauge skived PTFE tape with pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive.  This PTFE tape is unique in the aspect that it is manufactured at thicknesses well above standard product offerings.  This material is available .020" thk. to .125" thk. in roll goods, sheet goods or die cut parts.

This PTFE tape is specifically designed for applications where thin PTFE tapes are not enough. FAT PTFE has the heft, density and mass that make it very desirable for applications where thicker materials are a must.
